Throughout one’s life, many experiences bring us to where we are at today emotionally and physically. To me there is no worse feeling than recognizing, “I am out of shape.” I have observed people feeling overwhelmed with not getting the results they were looking for (how much weight should I do? How many times per week? How much cardio or what type of cardio, etc) and the outcome is feeling frustrated. That frustration led me to a career in Personal Training. With over six years of experience, I have developed a personal method that I call coaching. A coach observes mental and physical weaknesses and strengths. A personal coach allows you one on one attention insuring that you are safe and encouraging you to try your best each workout. By listening and utilizing the latest fitness methods in weight training, cardiovascular, core, flexibility, and nutrition, I will design a program to meet your specific goals. I look forward to helping you realize that exercise can be fun so you can reap the benefits that will lead to a happier healthier you.

I have been passionate about the fitness industry for as long as I can remember. As a young athlete, I learned early on about the dedication it took to have a lifestyle that included exercise and nutrition. I have carried my love for exercise into my adult life and enjoy bringing fitness and well-being into the lives of others. With over 10 years of experience in the fitness industry , I have worked with all types of fitness levels ranging from the hard-core athlete to pre and postnatal women, to the retired super senior. I bring creativity and functionality to each workout and hope to educate and inspire every person I train with. I am so inspired to mentor and be a part of the success that can be attained with a little commitment and determination. I look forward to working with the members of Tahoma Athletic Club.

Taking my love of health and fitness into a career seemed like a perfect fit. As a former distance runner and avid cyclist, I have overcome many sports injuries and believe in the importance of crosstraining and preventative training. I bring a passion for working with people and the desire for everyone to find their ‘inner athlete’. Through a complete wellness approach and an individual, customized program, I will provide the tools for your fitness goals and lifestyle. I look forward to creating a program to achieve your ultimate fitness, strength, nutrition or weight loss goals.

It only took one hard snowboarding crash to lead me to the health and fitness world. After ACL surgery and 6 short months of rehab and training I was back on the slopes. This all was made possible due to my incredible trainer. It wasn’t soon after that I realized she was doing what I wanted to do which was to help others achieve their health and fitness goals.
I took the next step and decided to attend Central Washington University where I received a Bachelors in Exercise Science. I now have the tools and knowledge to properly and effectively guide you through workouts that are unique and fun. Wherever you are at on your health and fitness journey I will be there to meet you and bring you towards your goals. I look forward to meeting you and being a part of your health and fitness transformation.

I have been a strength trainer and nutritional coach for twenty years. I have worked with people from all walks of life and fitness levels. I believe in the value and transformation power that a training partnership can have on the lives of its participants. Together we each grow stronger. I have experience and a deep understanding of the multitude of exercise philosophies and nutritional programs that have been presented over an extended fitness career. I will utilize all of this gathered knowledge and practical ability each time that we are together. Each workout will serve as a qualitative step toward the achievement of your goals. Your trust in me is energizing and I will reply in kind. Your goals become my goals. Accountability toward these goals is achieved through detailed record keeping and truthful dialogue. Being physically strong, through the building and retention of muscle, while practicing sound nutrition, are the essential elements of our health, functionality, and quality of life. It is within these areas of fitness that I have concentrated my work as a trainer and the template from which we will all work. My strength training program is based on decades of scientific research. It is safe. Your workouts will be brief and will emphasize quality over quantity. They will ignite your metabolism, add muscle to your body, and provide a profound cardiovascular response. You will be continually challenged. You will work hard. You will become stronger. It would be my pleasure to assist the members of Tahoma Athletic Club achieve their fitness goals.

My journey into fitness grew organically as a result of classes I started taking at TAC. Being a stay at home mom to twins my fitness level consisted of taking walks and putting in a fitness video now and then. Once TAC opened I took as many classes as I could and quickly realized variety was key to not only weight loss, but strength and energy. I had a desire to learn everything I could and really focused on technique and form. I also hired a nutritionist and trainer early on to get me on track. The gym became my second home and I loved seeing the changes it brought to me both physically and mentally. I can honestly say I’ve also seen this in so many members and that is exciting to me. My passion for TRX/Boxing/Indo Row lead me to get certified and teach classes and to a personal training certification. I would love the opportunity to work with anyone wanting help in meeting personal training goals and those wanting to train with a partner or a group.
