I have been passionate about the fitness industry for as long as I can remember. As a young athlete, I learned early on about the dedication it took to have a lifestyle that included exercise and nutrition. I have carried my love for exercise into my adult life and enjoy bringing fitness and well-being into the lives of others. With over 10 years of experience in the fitness industry , I have worked with all types of fitness levels ranging from the hard-core athlete to pre and postnatal women, to the retired super senior. Ever since I can remember, I’ve wanted to be a personal trainer. I love seeing how we change with the addition of fitness and proper nutrition. At first it would seem like working out is only for the outer appearance, however, since becoming a trainer in March of 2012, my clients have shown an increase in not only strength and appearance but in confidence and quality of life as well. During my years of personal training, I have been hired for multiple reasons including but not limited to: assisting with exercise programs for regular gym goers, holding people accountable to come to the gym, pre-surgery strengthening, post-surgery “rehab” style training, bikini competition prep (workout only, not nutrition), bodybuilding competition prep (workout only, not nutrition), weight loss clients, weight gain clients, sport specific training from HS to college athletes (baseball, basketball and football), as well as many other reasons. One of my claims to fame as a trainer is my training style. I will not be a cheerleader during our sessions nor will I accept anything but your best. I will push you to your limits and sometimes past. I realize this means I’m not the trainer for everyone; however, my previous clientele ranges in ages from 12 years old to 84 years old and I can work with anyone! As your trainer, I will provide constant support, nutritional tips and tricks, and unique, challenging, and fun workouts. My love of fitness began as a child, growing up with parents who were both college athletes. I saw them prioritize their health on a daily basis, especially my dad, who was a competitive power lifter and always made space for a wight room in our home. My experience with injuries as a runner and with weight gain through my pregnancies has taught me the importance of cross-training, weight lifting, and having a functional balance and core strength. I first began using my knowledge and experience to help others when i coached track-and-field for 4 years in Alabama. Soon after moving to Washington, i began teaching fitness classes. For the past 4+ years I have grown to love helping individuals from a variety of health backgrounds improve their fitness and well being. I am excited to continue my journey of learning, growing, and sharing at TAC as a personal trainer.

All the different sports i’ve played during childhood years throughout high school fueled my love for training, whether it’s working with athletes, helping people through rehab/physical therapy or assisting people with the general life/fitness goals, I love it all! While pursuing my Bachelors in Exercise Science at Eastern Washington University I have been blessed to train a wide variety of individuals including ages 12-50+, special needs individuals, NFL players from the New York Giants, San Fransisco 49ers and middle school-college athletes. I am a returning native of the Pacific Northwest, I graduated with a degree in Exercise Science from Western Washington University where I competed in Track and Field and was one of the pioneers of collegiate women’s Pole-Vault. During school I interned in physical therapy clinics and also worked post-grad as a physical therapy aide, helping others rehab sports injuries, knee replacement surgeries, shoulder and neck pain from car accidents, etc. In 2002 I became a Certified Personal Trainer through the NASM and trained clients in downtown Seattle while continuing my studies in anatomy and physiology by attending massage school at night. I love combining massage and exercise to help clients reach their full potential in Sports, Rehab or just become more aware of the incredible bodies they live in. My training is personalized to the needs and goals of each client but always incorporates core stability, flexibility and functional strength while pushing cardiovascular thresholds. Having grown up playing multiple sports, earning eleven Varsity Letters in high school and moving on to play Division 1 Soccer at Oregon State University, I have a lifelong love of fitness, sports, and athleticism. My fitness journey began in the weight room with my high school football team. I was so eager to learn more about strength training, so I joined their off-season workouts. I fell in love with progressively getting faster and stronger, and pursued a degree in Exercise Science in Chicago, IL. During my time there, I had the privilege of playing four years of collegiate varsity soccer and one year of track and field. I began personal training my junior year, and haven’t looked back since! Since competing in college, I worked my way from competitive lifting to triathlon. I have experience coaching athletes, adult weight loss, and special populations (primarily elderly, multiple sclerosis, and post-cancer/major surgery). Whether its through group training, rehabilitative work, sports performance work, nutrition coaching, or one-on-one weight loss/toning, each person deserves an opportunity to be their best self. With a little energy, consistency, passion, and hard work, I believe I can help anyone reach their potential!
