I have been passionate about the fitness industry for as long as I can remember. As a young athlete, I learned early on about the dedication it took to have a lifestyle that included exercise and nutrition. I have carried my love for exercise into my adult life and enjoy bringing fitness and well-being into the lives of others. With over 10 years of experience in the fitness industry , I have worked with all types of fitness levels ranging from the hard-core athlete to pre and postnatal women, to the retired super senior. I bring creativity and functionality to each workout and hope to educate and inspire every person I train with. I am so inspired to mentor and be a part of the success that can be attained with a little commitment and determination. I look forward to working with the members of Tahoma Athletic Club.

I am certified through American Council on Exercise as a Senior Exercise Specialist (and currently pursuing additional certifications in Sports      Nutrition, Functional Training, and Sports Injury Training). I have been involved in fitness for the past 15 years and want to share my excitement for fitness with others. I believe exercise should be challenging while also being fun! My love of fitness began as a child, growing up with parents who were both college athletes. I saw them prioritize their health on a daily basis, especially my dad, who was a competitive power lifter and always made space for a wight room in our home. My experience with injuries as a runner and with weight gain through my pregnancies has taught me the importance of cross-training, weight lifting, and having a functional balance and core strength. I first began using my knowledge and experience to help others when i coached track-and-field for 4 years in Alabama. Soon after moving to Washington, i began teaching fitness classes. For the past 4+ years I have grown to love helping individuals from a variety of health backgrounds improve their fitness and well being. I am excited to continue my journey of learning, growing, and sharing at TAC as a personal trainer.

All the different sports i’ve played during childhood years throughout high school fueled my love for training, whether it’s working with athletes, helping people through rehab/physical therapy or assisting people with the general life/fitness goals, I love it all! While pursuing my Bachelors in Exercise Science at Eastern Washington University I have been blessed to train a wide variety of individuals including ages 12-50+, special needs individuals, NFL players from the New York Giants, San Fransisco 49ers and middle school-college athletes. Although my specialty is sports performance training, my love for personal training excels everything i’ve achieved in life. During my time in the health/fitness industry I have been able to gain many skills to help people achieve their fitness goals whether you are young or old, I apply my creativity of exercise programming to make workouts enjoyable to help you reach the goals you want to attain!

I am a returning native of the Pacific Northwest, I graduated with a degree in Exercise Science from Western Washington University where I competed in Track and Field and was one of the pioneers of collegiate women’s Pole-Vault. During school I interned in physical therapy clinics and also worked post-grad as a physical therapy aide, helping others rehab sports injuries, knee replacement surgeries, shoulder and neck pain from car accidents, etc. In 2002 I became a Certified Personal Trainer through the NASM and trained clients in downtown Seattle while continuing my studies in anatomy and physiology by attending massage school at night. I love combining massage and exercise to help clients reach their full potential in Sports, Rehab or just become more aware of the incredible bodies they live in. My training is personalized to the needs and goals of each client but always incorporates core stability, flexibility and functional strength while pushing cardiovascular thresholds. In addition to 15+ years of experience, I bring a passion for helping others live life to the fullest and a mission to prove to you how much fun hard work can be!

Having grown up playing multiple sports, earning eleven Varsity Letters in high school and moving on to play Division 1 Soccer at Oregon State University, I have a lifelong love of fitness, sports, and athleticism. I’m a dedicated fitness and youth athletic development specialist, committed to helping others reach their peak performance potential. I have over 20 years of practical experience in the fitness industry and coaching. I am a Certified AFFA/NASM Fitness Instructor with numerous group exercise specialty certifications in Pilates/Yoga, Barre, Cycle, and Insanity. I also hold a NASM-Sports performance trainer certification that users scientific research and techniques for optimum performance training that is founded on human movement science. I am also a Nationally board Certified teacher and hold a National B Coaching License from the United States Soccer Association. I am excited to work with fitness enthusiasts and athletes of all levels to help them reach their goals and peak fitness level and/or athletic performance

I have 4 years of experience in the fitness industry as an employee, and over a decade as an avid gym rat.

I try to keep my training philosophies simple- eat relative to your goals, and lift heavy weights. I don’t believe we need to make it more complicated than that. As a personal trainer and a specialist in corrective exercise I can help diagnose movement deficiencies and help to correct them, as well as provide guidance for a safe, effective weight training program that will add muscle, burn fat, increase bone density, and prolong one’s life. As a nutrition coach, I can tailor an individual program to each client that will help them both set and achieve their goals in a timely manner. As your trainer I promise to always put you in a position to succeed through science-backed training regimens that will help you recruit more muscle when you need it, and keep tension on said muscle to increase efficiency and growth.

A promise I make to each client is that I would never have you do something that I wouldn’t do myself, which is why we’ll never do burpees. Cheers!

Wife, mom and Grandma. I love helping people enjoy fitness and an active lifestyle, trying new things and connecting with people. I’ve actively been teaching group fitness classes and Personal Training for over 20 years. I’m experienced with Yoga, weight lifting, cycling, rowing, Barre and Boot camps classes. I enjoy helping people with prehab and rehab for those with injuries. I believe in exercising the mind as well as the body and try to incorporate that into my classes.
I enjoy being outside; skiing and gardening and doing mind games and puzzles in front of a fire. Life is GOOD.
